    Genius.

I want to be a magician that sneaky.
    Except the suicide.
    Definitely not that.

Seriously, what’s the deal with these corner ads? Every time I open your page a Virgin or eBay advert blocks out half the corner of the page including most of the first panel of the strip, and I can’t get rid of it. Nasty.

I haven’t seen that and I can’t seem to get it to happen on my end. What browser are you using?

I’m using IE9 in W7. I think my ad-blocker is confusing the (large) quantity of adverts on your page, one of them slipped through but its positioning is obviously relative to others which have been blocked, which is why it’s appearing in odd places.

When I (temporarily) turned my blocker off, it cured the corner ad location but also unleashed all the other ads too. For example, your “Greg is a Garden Gnome” panel is now almost currently completely covered by some “Alsace” wine advert, which is on the page no less than three times and keeps animating and strobing continuously in a really annoying way.

I appreciate that you probably appreciate whatever income these adverts make (although I’m at a loss as to how it works), but if it wasn’t for my ad-blocker I’d probably have given up on this site long ago. This many in-your-face annoying ads is kinda pushing it.

I don’t use an ad blocker, and I count seven advertisement banners, all of which are on the sides of the page and in no way hinder the comic strip itself.  And it isn’t so much he “appreciates” whatever income these adverts make; as a comictometrist he depends upon it.  What he appreciates is the people who take the time to visit his site 🙂

Cheers Ryan, awesome work.  Love the magician.   Also, to those saying the “boner is weird” when you pour dirt in a hole with a shovel it piles up wherever you pour it… hence why it looks like there is a mound there.  Just got poured in an opportune awkward location.

Thanks for the comment, Kevin. You’ve hit the nail on the head. And there’s actually only four ads on the entire page. There was a little issue in IE that I was unaware of and that should be fixed now. It was offsetting the placement of the ads. But, without all four ads, I would have to get a real job, and that is something I don’t plan on doing anytime soon. I love this fuckin job. There are a number of self employed cartoonists with 3-4 ads on their sites and it’s just what we have to do since we don’t get magically paid for just drawing the comics.

Oh, also, Kevin about the boner dirt. I had actually fixed it, cuz it DID look like a boner. I’m going to upload that original panel as a bonus comic. So keep yer eyes pealed. 🙂

sweeet!  Also, one of your ads saved me like 20 bucks on my christmas shopping!  do you get bonus incentives from Wayfair if people actually buy after clicking your ad?  My girlfriend has been begging for a Paula Deen cookware set for eons.

I don’t get any bonus directly, but my ad servers might and that probably benefits me. 🙂

As a newcomer to the comic (who is adamantly determined to go through the archive tonight), I never got to see the original boner dirt! Can we see it yet? 😀
